IS/IT Architect
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Architect to lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Field Service Management (FSM) Information System, replacing a Legacy system to enable greater efficiency in delivering service for high value assets to a stable customer base.
This role will oversee the entire lifecycle—from information architecture revision and vendor selection through deployment and commissioning—ensuring the solution aligns with business objectives, compliance requirements, and scalability goals.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Service management /Field Service Maintenance Implementation (Initial Priority – Technical Focus)
· Solution Selection: Working with the Transformation Project Lead, deliver the technical evaluation and selection process for the COTS Field Service Maintenance platform, ensuring maximum benefit for Service Delivery and Service Operations workflows.
· System Architecture & Integration: Design and oversee the technical architecture. Ensure seamless integration with the existing enterprise ecosystem and with the partners/suppliers’ systems, establishing the SM tool as the central hub for service data.
· Technical Requirements Definition: Work closely with the Transformation Project Lead to translate defined business needs into robust technical specifications and solution designs. Ensure that the COTS solution that is implemented in the organisation does not become a bespoke solution.
· Partner Interface: Act as the primary technical interface with the Solution partner, ensuring technical alignment and data flow integrity.
· Configuration & Deployment Oversight: Oversee the technical configuration, customisation (where necessary), data migration strategy, and system testing (including performance and security testing).
Governance & Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with IT governance policies, standards, and procedures including data security within the sensitive Air Traffic Management domain.
Operations & Infrastructure
· Serve as the technical owner for field service and service delivery systems, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
· Security & Resilience: Implement strategies to ensure the security, resilience, and business continuity related to the new Field Service Management solution.
This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll influence key decisions and help shape the future of the organisation.

Qualifications/attainment:
· Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture, systems integration (APIs, Middleware), cloud services (Azure/AWS), network architecture, and cybersecurity principles

It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
