Senior Engineering Authority (Networks)

The Senior Engineering Authority (SEA) will be responsible for the performance and management of the Marshall IP network. In general, this will be: The management of Sub-contractors and Third-party network providers. Verifying performance to agreed SLA’s. Timely escalation of issues and inaction to the Technical Services Authority. Occasional site visits to inspect Network installation and liaison with end user. Occasional site visits to complete hands-on Fault finding and/or Network configuration tasks. IP network design to support Refresh and new projects. Aquila uses the ITIL Model as a framework for its Service Delivery Model. The Systems Engineer role is broadly aligned with the Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition and Continual Service Improvement aspects of the ITIL model.

The role supports the development of windfarms, to understand the windfarm impact, design and implement the best solution. An opening has become available for a Falkland Islands Business Support, who will be based in the Falkland Islands. This role will be a multi-function role, reporting directly to the International Operations Manager. This role will require a flexible individual who has knowledge of working overseas, with a can-do attitude. This role will require the individual to be both flexible and capable, with the flexibility to operate 24/7, always on call, to assist the Maintenance teams, as well as the Installation teams, if required. Due to the nature of the Falkland Islands operating hours, evening hours will be the norm.

Falkland Islands Site Support Engineer

The MARSHALL programme is a major Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) delivery programme to the UK MOD that includes a requirement to support equipment in the Falkland Islands. Openings have become available for ATM Technical Assistants within the Falkland Islands Regional Maintenance team. This is a multi-function role, reporting directly to the Falkland Islands Service Delivery Manager. The role will require a flexible individual with a can-do attitude who is capable and prepared to work at RAF Mount Pleasant and outlying stations on a rotating shift pattern. Whilst Aquila is based at Mount Pleasant, a feature of this role is variety associated with working at different sites around the Falkland Islands, performing different support tasks. Some of the time you will be assisting with routine maintenance, and others you may be involved with installation work. In the case of some of the remoter sites, you will be required to spend time away from home.

Working on own initiative, the role holder will oversee the contractual affairs of designated areas within the business unit throughout the entire Project Life Cycle, encompassing management of key elements of the existing contract, commercial control whilst bidding for contract changes, subsequent negotiation and closure opportunities of higher value and/or complexity.
