Aquila Formally Presented with Armed Forces Covenant Gold Certificate

Back in the summer, Aquila was informed that it had achieved Gold Status of the Employer Recognition Scheme for the Armed Forces Covenant. The Employer Recognition Scheme recognises companies and organisations that support military veterans, reservists, serving personnel and their families, with gold status particularly focused on companies that act as positive advocates of defence. In September, at the DSEi show in London, Aquila officially resigned its pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant.

Last week, at a special event for Gold Award recipients, Aquila CEO, Mike Stoller, was officially presented with our Gold Certificate. Mike is pictured aboard HMS Warrior, the world’s first iron-clad warship, receiving our award from Rear Admiral Jude Terry OBE, Director People & Training and Naval Secretary, and Nigel Atkinson ESQ, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire. Also pictured with Mike at the event are Aquila Head of Marketing & Communications, Chris Trippick, and Aquila Executive Assistant, Donna Lilleyman. Donna is part of our ex-military community, having previously served as an engineer in the Royal Navy.
