Christian Rivierre
VP of the Thales Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) global business
Since September 2021, Christian Rivierre has been the VP of the Thales Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) global business. AMS covers airspace management and control solutions for commercial aviation and drones, as well as providing navigation aid systems.
He began his career in 1984 at Thomson CSF, where he worked as a Naval Combat System and Air Defense project manager in the division responsible for System Detection and Command.
From 1992 to 2004, Christian worked for the Air Traffic Management activity at Thales where he started as director of common product development before becoming vice-president of the Air Traffic Control Product and Development. Some of his achievements during this last role included the definition and implementation of a European product policy, facilitating the creation and structuring of the COOPANS Alliance and his involvement to position Thales as the worldwide leader in Air Traffic Management.
After joining Thales Services in 2005 as Vice President IT Outsourcing, he began by taking responsibility for the creation of a new European entity dedicated to services around critical systems outsourcing. He then set up the Software & System Engineering Business Unit, focusing on new digital technologies (cloud/IA/Dev/Sec/Ops), and establishing strong partnership with customers.
From 2014 to 2021, Christian was vice president of Operations and International Development for the Cybersecurity and Critical Information Systems business where he led a global digital and cybersecurity transformation.
Christian Rivierre graduated as an engineer from Supélec, a leading French engineering higher education institution. He is passionate about sport, new technologies and mentoring young entrepreneurs in leadership.
