Aquila Raised over £4500 for Hounds for Heroes

For the last two years Aquila has run through mud, baked cakes, zipped through Wales on a high wire, held raffles and quiz nights all in aid of Hounds for Heroes. On Wednesday 15 January Aquila had great pleasure in meeting Allen Parton, Chair of Hounds for Heroes and presenting him with a cheque for £4810.83.

Hounds for Heroes is a local charity that provides support at a national level to ex-service men and women and ex-emergency services teams. Christopher Trippick, Head of Communications and External Affairs, said “We were very proud to support this charity and raise significant funds for Allen and his Team. Allen’s true story is so inspirational that it brought tears to our eyes and inspired our teams to get involved with some of the mad events we put on throughout 2018 and 2019. We feel really happy to know that our funds will go towards providing and training an assistance dog for those who have served our country.
